Job Summary
Initially under general supervision, individuals will learn and perform a variety of duties in the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical equipment required for the continuous operation of wastewater pumping stations, treatment facilities, and related pipelines and facilities. The individual will locate, operate, inspect, modify, maintain, repair, and install pumps, electric motors, gas and diesel engines, valves, and related mechanical and electrical equipment; assist in the maintenance, repairs and operation of District wastewater facilities and perform related work as assigned.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED; one to three years' work experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of pumps, electric motors, and industrial engines is preferred. Ability to obtain West Virginia Electrical License. Must hold a valid driver's license.
